Travel Tips
Passports and Visas
All passengers (including children and infants) must have a passport for international travel. Your passport must be valid for a minimum of six months after your intended return, otherwise you won’t be allowed into another country. Dual passport-holders must travel with both valid passports. International passport-holders require a visa for most destinations, so check visa requirements with the relevant embassy or consulate for all stopovers, ports or transits.
Find out how long the processing of visa applications for your destination usually takes and apply well in advance. For most countries, you need to apply a minimum of six weeks prior to departure. Have all the necessary documents available when applying for a visa.
Regulations for international travel with minors are applicable so make sure you’ve familiarised yourself with the new rules
Please be aware that ilive4fun is unable to advise on the need to obtain Visas as this information is regulated by individual governments and subject to change. Contact the local embassy for the country to which you're travelling for up-to-date information.

Travel Plan and Documents
Ensure that you have received all relevant vouchers for your travel prior to departure. Ask your consultant all the questions you may have regarding your travel plan. Keep an electronic copy of all travel documents.

Correct Names
Names on tickets are generally non-transferable. If the name and surname on your flight ticket don’t match what appears in your passport, you won’t be allowed to board. Passengers who recently got married need to ensure that their ticket reflects the name appearing in their valid passport

Luggage Information
Luggage is restricted to a max size of 73cm x 50cm x 25cm. If you are a bit out, you'll be fine. This is a guide! However we are serious when we say it has to be less than 20kg. This is something we enforce, so pack light!
Some airlines, especially internal carriers in some countries, may charge you for baggage – always check with your flight consultant, as well as the airline’s website, as to your baggage allowance. Adhere to baggage regulations at all times and familiarise yourself on the policy regarding the carrying of liquids, aerosols and gels.
Packing Tips
Bring some comfortable day wear and at least one nice thing to wear on a night out. Outfits that mix and match are great and disposable clothing is important on long trips. You can always buy something if you need it, so don't over pack!

Vaccinations
The decision to be vaccinated while travelling is something to be taken seriously, but it's something personal that needs to be agreed upon by you and your doctor. For this reason, we won’t advise anything to do with vaccinations. Have a chat with your doctor to reach a conclusion that’s right for you. Depending on what you and your doctor agree upon, make sure you get the necessary vaccinations in time (usually a minimum of 10 days prior to departure).
If you suffer from any form of illness, be sure to have an adequate supply of any medications prior to departing on your trip. You must advise us of any important medical condition you may have at time of booking.

Health
Travelling always requires an element of caution when it comes to your health. Whether it's the different water or food, being in foreign environments has the potential to confuse your body. In addition, life on an ilive4fun trip can at times be a bit hectic, with early starts and late nights and so much to see and do. Getting sick on a trip is a real shame but it's definitely avoidable. Simple advice like eating well and getting sufficient rest is key and as long as you take care of yourself you should be fine.
-
Should you get be unfortunate to be unwell, speak to your trip manager who will be able to organise taking you to a pharmacy or if need be, to see a doctor.
-
If you are on a regular course of medication it is recommended that you bring a sufficient supply for the entire time you are away from home. We also suggest that you bring a small supply of antiseptic cream, sticking plasters, aspirin, insect repellent, cough medicine and perhaps some antibiotics. These are not carried on the coach and are your responsibility. All ilive4fun coaches do carry sealed first aid kit in case of an emergency.
-
If you have a diagnosed medical condition, you must advise ilive4fun when booking your trip as you may need to provide a medical assessment form.

Travel insurance
It is compulsory that you take out comprehensive insurance cover for cancellation, personal injury, death, medical expenses, repatriation expenses and evacuation expenses before you travel on an ilive4fun trip. We strongly recommend your insurance also covers cancellation, personal liability and loss of personal property. Please check that the insurance covers all of the activities that you are going to be participating in. Some policies exclude certain adventure activities. This should be arranged at the time of payment of the deposit and will, in certain circumstances, cover you against loss of deposit or cancellation fees from the date of confirmation of your booking, as shown in the insurance policy. ilive4fun cannot be held responsible for your failure to take out appropriate insurance. You also agree to indemnify us against all third-party claims, actions, damages and remedies which may be brought against us in respect of your participation in the trip.

Travel updates
Periodically, events such as natural disasters or political unrest may affect travel regulations to and from certain countries. It’s always best to check with your home countries local travel advisory board.

Weather
As much as we may like to, we can't control the weather, and even forecasting it can be troublesome. However examining weather trends and future forecasts can help, so head to the Weather Underground where you can look at current local weather, history and trends and even use their trip planner to see what the weather might be like when you're on holiday.

Spending money
We're all different; some of us want souvenirs, some of us want to indulge in nights out, some want to do all the optional activities and experience it all! Make sure you check out the approximate cost of the Optional Activities available on your trip. You’ll need to allow enough to cover lunches, some dinners, shopping, entrance fees to some attractions and activities, souvenirs, drinks and evening entertainment/nightclubs.
It is advisable to start your trip with some cash in the local currency of the destinations you will be travelling. You should be able to use debit & credit cards to withdraw money along the way.
